Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

Halloween!

Its september 3rd and in believe it is time for Halloween decor!  I have always loved Halloween decorations.  Maybe it's because my mothers birthday is October 30th and she would always get Halloween themed birthday presents.  So, our house would be very pumpkin themed for the month of October. 

This year I decided that The Funki Little Frog should have holiday signs.  This is actually something I have never really done. I actually have never been this organized to start working on a holiday 3 months ahead of time.  But this year I was, and I'm very pleased with the outcome.  

My goal was to have 20 Halloween signs listed in my shop by September 1st.  I was able to make 13, and may add a few more through the month.

New England Summer

Since the temperature is still in the 90's and the beach seems to be the only 

thing on my mind, my focus for signs is still beach themed.

This group was made from upcycled found wood.  I love how my Funki Little Frog Milk Paint looks when I use aged wood. 

Today I completed and listed in The Funki Little Frog a great group of New England themed signs. I wanted them to have a vintage weathered clam shack, fish market, beach theme. I know as a  true New Englander  my "Chowder" signs really should have read "Chowdah"  I will put that on the list for signs next week.

The local to me beach signs are just a start, I will be adding more through the summer.  If you would like to see a certain sign, please let me know.

Today was a very productive day at The Funki Little Frog.  I completed 20 new signs, and listed 10 in my shop.  The other 10 are going to Small Potatoes tomorrow.  An awesome new gift shop in Norwich Connecticut.  

I also gave my Etsy shop a "cleaning." I added plenty of beach signs, so you can keep your summer vacation a very close memory.  I also added a great new "ICE CREAM" sign, perfect for a kitchen, dessert table at a wedding or birthday party, or would also be a great decor for a restaurant.

I love it when a customer asks me to create a custom sign, it usually gives me the chance to create a color or style I may have never thought to create myself.

A year ago on June 4th, I opened my new shop, The Funki Little Frog.

The plan was to offer fun bright colored signs with phases that would make you smile. This shop was just for fun and I really had no plan of it becoming more popular than my Funki Folk Art shop.  After 170 sales it has grown larger than I ever imagined in one year.  I just was happy to sell my first sign within 1 day of opening my shop

 "Sandy toes & Salty kisses" has become my most popular sign,  it only seems fitting for that sign to be my 1 year anniversary giveaway!
